Shoes to Water

Imagine women and young girls carrying 5 gallon buckets
5-10 miles barefoot to and from the nearest water source in their area. In most cases, the water they gather is not even clean! This happens every day in many countries around the world like Haiti and Kenya.

How far must you walk for clean, usable water?

Help the First United Methodist Church Change the World by donating the shoes that you no longer wear to Shoeman Water Project.

Having a garage sale? We will pick-up any unsold shoes after your sale is over or you can drop them off at the front entrance of the church located at:
643 E. Washington St. West Chicago, IL

Use the marked Groot covered bins for donating shoes when the building is closed. For more information call 630-231-3344

Please help us reach our goal of 5,000 pairs of shoes.
